Professor (m/f/d) Industrial Engineering

Activities & Responsibilities

As a subject expert in industrial engineering, you will act as an internal and external contact person for the current and future study programs in the field
You will hold lectures in range of topics surrounding Industrial Technologies (Industry 4.0) such as Smart Production, Machine Learning and Data Science.
Together with the accreditation team, you will develop innovative study programs in your field of expertise
In line with our philosophy of high quality education in a personal and supportive environment, you will supervise and advise students in their academic and personal development
With your global mindset, you will support the university in the internationalization of its campuses and study programs within a dynamic and highly-motivated team operative levels
To assist students with the transition into the job market, you will actively establish and maintain contacts with academic and business partners, and develop our cooperation network
You will strengthen the activities of Hochschule Fresenius through participation in working groups and project teams on strategic and operative levels

Your Profile

You have successfully completed a university degree and a doctorate in a technical field related to industrial engineering
You have a passion for teaching and coaching, as well as several years of corresponding experience, preferably in English
You have published relevant articles in notable academic journals and have at least 5 years of professional experience after completion of your first degree, of which at least 3 years were gained outside a university environment, thereby fulfilling the requirements of §62 HHG (Hessiches Hochschulgesetz)
You have professional English skills and a working knowledge of German
You have excellent communication and intercultural skills, allowing you to engage with students from all over the world, and to identify and address their needs
You are willing to work on internal and external projects, both individually and as part of a team
