IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

In today’s world, all business models and company structures are directly affected by internationalization and globalization. Our English-language Master’s program in International Business Management (M.A.) addresses these changes and lays the foundations for a successful career in an international company.

This program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of related economic concepts, global processes, and international guidelines as well as specialist knowledge of English, leadership skills, and an appreciation of the subtle differences between cultures. By the end of the program, you will have a comprehensive range of skills that will even enable you to set up and manage your own international company.

This study program also includes an Additional M.Sc. Degree Option (rarely offered in Germany) in which students complete an Additional M.Sc. Degree Program during a year abroad at the University of Chester in Great Britain.

On this study program, you have the option to earn an additional Master of Science. We offer this degree in collaboration with the University of Chester in Great Britain, which is regularly recognized for its excellent teaching and support structures for international students.
The University of Chester offers the following Master’s study programs:

  • International Business
  • International Finance
  • Marketing Management

If you decide to pursue the additional Master of Science, you will spend an entire academic year (3 trimesters) at the University of Chester. Your Master’s program (M.Sc.) at the University of Chester will be recognized in full as a major for your Master of Arts (M.A.) at Hochschule Fresenius. Your studies will then be structured as follows:

The Master’s study program at the University of Chester is made up of 3 trimesters in which you will complete modules for both degrees. During your year in Great Britain, you will earn 60 ECTS points toward for your Master of Arts in Germany. You will complete this Master’s program with 120 ECTS points, including the points earned during your first two semesters.

With an additional trimester (30 ECTS points), you will earn a total of 90 ECTS points for your Master of Science from the University of Chester. The third trimester in Great Britain ends shortly after the start of the fifth semester at Hochschule Fresenius. Your regular duration of study will therefore be extended to five semesters on account of the British
time model.

You can also complete the program in four semesters and remain in Germany. In this case, your major will be Global Management and you will graduate with a Master of Arts degree.

The International Business Management (M.A.) degree program in Munich reports on the integration of national and international experts from consulting firms, start-ups and industry. With practical and innovative initiatives in the areas of management consulting, artificial intelligence, industry 4.0 or innovation management, you will gain insights into everyday working life.

Each semester, you will find additional competencies courses for training soft skills; Regular job application trainings by HR experts from well-known companies, including application portfolio checks, are also offered at the Munich location

FROM ADMISSION TO GRADUATION

In order to start a master’s program at the Hochschule Fresenius, you must fulfill the applicable admission criteria. In this context, we check the completion of your first academic degree, your final grade, the content of your preliminary studies and your language skills.

Submitting Your Application Documents
You will find an upload section on the online application portal with the documents required for enrollment. The only thing needed by post is a certified copy of your university entrance qualification. The only other thing we need to decide whether to admit you to the study program is your guided statement of motivation. All other documents required for enrollment can be submitted after the application procedure.

Admission to Study Program
If you are accepted for the study program, our administration team will send you a study contract. Please sign the forms and return them within 14 days, since we cannot guarantee your university place beyond the 14-day limit.
Enrollment
Once you have been admitted to your study program and have submitted all documents required for enrollment by the specified deadline, we look forward to welcoming you to your preferred campus during our enrollment days.

Application

United Kingdom immigration rules require EU and non-EU applicants to complete different procedures. Please remember that all application documents need to be submitted in English.

EU citizens should complete the AIMS application form online, where you will be required to upload the necessary documents and provide contact details for two people who can provide academic references. If you have any questions regarding the application process for EU citizens, please contact the University of Chester’s Postgraduate Admissions Department at postgrad@chester.ac.uk.

Non-EU citizens should complete the International Student Application Form and return it by email to applyinternational@chester.ac.uk. Questions regarding the application process for non-EU citizens can be directed to the University of Chester’s International Office (international@chester.ac.uk).

Financing Options

Hochschule Fresenius is a privately run higher education institution whose programs are recognized but not funded by the state. Therefore, we must charge fees for our programs. You can finance your studies in various ways.
