Our English-language Bachelor’s program in International Business Management (B.A.) addresses these changes and lays the foundations for a successful career in an international company.

Our Bachelor’s study program in International Business Management (B.A.) perfectly demonstrates the diversity of the business world. In the first three semesters, students focus on the basic principles of international business management. The content of the fourth and fifth semesters depends on the majors selected. The program concludes with a Bachelor’s thesis in the sixth semester.

Selecting two specialist majors as part of your degree is the perfect way to start your career. To gain international experience, you will complete each of your majors on an integrated semester abroad in Shanghai, New York, or Sydney.

  • International Management (Shanghai): This major focuses on management roles and strategies within international companies and organizations. It also examines international business relations.
  • International Market, Consumer, and Media Psychology (Shanghai): This major introduces you to various market research approaches and methods. It also looks at consumer behavior and media usage from a psychological perspective.
  • International Marketing Management (New York): This major concentrates on strategic and applied marketing management. You will also learn to implement and analyze marketing strategies with an international focus.
  • International Finance and Accounting (New York): This major focuses on strategic, international accounting. You will also study global financial streams and the international finance sector.
  • International Human Resource Management (New York): From employer branding and recruitment to HR development – this major takes an intensive look at various areas and tasks within human resource management with a particular focus on international companies.
  • International Organizational Psychology and Consulting (Sydney): This major examines the field of occupational psychology and will teach you about various concepts and methods within consulting and coaching.

Centrally located in the MediaPark, our Cologne campus offers a cosmopolitan atmosphere where you’ll study alongside a large contingent of international students. You’ll also benefit from the extensive network of contacts that our professors and lecturers maintain within the regional and international business sector. This allows you to enjoy direct links with industry – through excursions and frequent guest lectures, for example – and to gain valuable insights into the day-to-day work of companies.

Students interested in joining a Bachelor’s program at Hochschule Fresenius must be able to prove that they fulfil the following admission requirements:

General university entrance qualification (German “Abitur”):
Eligible to study at all higher education institutions and in all German federal states.

or

Advanced technical certificate (German “Fachhochschulreife” or Fachabitur”):
Eligible to study at a university of applied sciences or in a two-cycle study program at a university in the federal states identified in the certificate.

or

Subject-linked university entrance qualification (German “Fachgebundene Hochschulreife”):
Eligible to study the corresponding subject in the federal states identified in the certificate.

or

Master craftsman certificate (German “Meisterprüfung”/vocational qualification):
A master craftsman certificate or a vocational qualification in accordance with the act on access to higher education institutions in the state of Hessen or Baden-Württemberg (Hochschule Fresenius Heidelberg) for people with professional qualifications (either completion of professional advance training of at least 400 hours; a technical college, vocational, or administrative academy qualification; or successful completion of a state-recognized commercial apprenticeship with subsequent professional experience lasting at least two years as well as a special university admission assessment): Eligible to study at Hochschule Fresenius.

To study at Hochschule Fresenius in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Idstein, Cologne, Munich, or Wiesbaden, the subject-linked university entrance qualification or advanced technical certificate must entitle the applicant to study in the state of Hessen. To be admitted to a Bachelor’s program at Hochschule Fresenius in Heidelberg, the subject-linked university entrance qualification or advanced technical certificate must entitle the applicant to study in the state of Baden-Württemberg. If you are unsure as to whether your subject-linked university entrance qualification or advanced technical certificate entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences in Hessen or Baden-Württemberg, please provide us with a certified copy of your certificate so that we can check it.

In addition, each semester group is subject to internal limitations on numbers: A maximum of 25 students are admitted to each Bachelor’s study group on the International Business Management (B.A.) study program. We do not require specific average grades (numerus clausus) or particular advanced courses (Leistungskurse) for our Bachelor’s programs.

You will find an upload section on the online application portal with the documents required for enrollment. The only thing needed by post is a certified copy of your university entrance qualification. All other documents required for enrollment can be submitted after the application procedure.

If you are accepted for the study program, our administration team will send you a study contract. Please sign the forms and return them within 14 days, since we cannot guarantee your university place beyond the 14-day limit.

Hochschule Fresenius is a privately run higher education institution whose programs are recognized but not funded by the state. Therefore, we must charge fees for our programs. You can finance your studies in various ways.
