Multidisciplinary studies The bachelor degree course thoroughly prepares you to meet market demands in the media and communications sector. It combines practically oriented business competence with media and communications specific knowledge. 50% of the curriculum comprises media management subjects and 40% business administration and legal subjects. Moreover, the student is provided with use-oriented key qualifications so that the basics of expert, methodical and social competencies are set for their future career opportunities. Practical studies The course of studies in media economics is oriented to the professional requirements of the media and communications branch. It combines practically oriented business competence with expertise specific to media and communication, and is geared towards the multidisciplinary requirements of the labour market. 50% of the course content combines media and communication specifically, and 40% of the course deals with business administration and legal studies. The remaining course content provides the student with essential basic skills. Targeted studies To maximise the chances of gaining entry to your chosen career, as well as facilitating a personal area of specialisation, two subjects from your bachelor courses that reflect personal interests and aptitudes are chosen after completion of the third semester. Optionally, one of two chosen major subjects may be replaced by a subject from one of the other bachelor courses, business administration, health care business management, business psychology, or business law.
